Kevin and Géza chose two locations in Budapest with the most beautiful view for their wedding. Both the Budapest Marriott Hotel and the Fisherman’s Bastion provide an amazing backdrop for a wedding, so we created the decoration to complement the atmosphere of the two locations. The couple wanted the end result to be sophisticated and elegant. The color palette was dominated by white, complemented with very little pale pink. Since it was a September wedding, we used olive green tablecloths to make the decoration more autumnal.
We used gold accessories in the decoration, such as gold goblets and candle holders. The main flower decorations were complemented by smaller flower arrangements and placed fragrant white hyacinths in elegant dark green vases. When creating the flower arrangements, we kept modern elegance and simplicity in mind.
We used a lot of glass accessories, which strengthened the classic style, while the modern elegance was displayed with simple, high-gloss gold candle holders.
The graphic of the menu card – like the invitation – was created by a friend of the couple, the menu cards also functioned as seating cards with names, so the focus was only on the decoration on the table.
The main table – as in every wedding – received a particularly rich floral decoration due to its prominent role. Here, too, we placed fragrant hyacinths among the pinned flower decorations, supplemented with countless small candles, which made the table delightfully cozy during the evening dinner.
On the terrace of the Liz and Chain skybar (on the 9th floor of the Marriott Hotel), we didn’t have to worry about background decoration or covering the walls, since looking around, a 180-degree panorama stretches out in front of the terrace; Budapest with its most beautiful sights such as Gellért Hill, the Citadel or Buda Castle.
One of my favorite moments of the entire decorating/day was making the ceremony decorations. Although we have been to the Fisherman’s Bastion before, we are always enchanted by its atmosphere and the unique view of the city.
