“We want to emulate classic English elegance and feeling, as much as possible. We like the slightly deeper, „moody” and „chic” atmosphere. (…) We want to mix this with a greenhouse atmosphere, with many plants, potted/cut, as if hundreds of years old vegetation had overgrown the venue. We really want the decoration to not look forced or costumey, which is why we would like to work with you!”
This email from the couple was the inspiration for the Dark Academia wedding concept for Dorka and Jorgosz’s wedding. Originally they wanted to organize their wedding in England where they live, but due to family illness, they brought their „english manor wedding” to Hungary.
The venue was a perfect canvas for the moody, elegant greenhouse vibe. We embodied the dark academia style using rich hues of green, mahagony chairs and the old world opulence reminiscing velvet tablecloths.
We used decorative objects that you can find in libraries, like globes, and classic English gardens accessories, like stone garden pots.
The Blush Wedding Decor team, led by Letti, did a tremendous job. We organized our wedding from abroad, so we blindly trusted them in everything, and the result exceeded all of our expectations. We were more than satisfied, from the smooth design process through the perfectly understood brief, to the budget-friendly alternatives. We are thankful for the gorgeous design and your flexibility.
