Proposal in Budapest
How to propose in Budapest? Get in contact with one of the best photographers in our country, go to one of the most iconic places in the city, hire a decorator, trick your girlfriend that you are gifting her a photo session for her birthday, get up befor the sunrise, get down on one knee and pop the question. Easy isn’t it, huh?
At least this the route that Miguel followed when he was planning to ask his girlfriend to marry him. As and admirer of thought out details and romantic proposals, I was more than excited to assist in this supsrise proposal.
The now fiancé got in contact with me via the recommendation of Peter Herman Photography, who shot these gorgeous pictures. Regarding the decoration, Miguel’s request was to include the ‘Marry me’ text somehow and roses. For the rest I was given free hand. This is what it turned out to be.
I knew immediately that I wanted to use pink in a bolder color combination, so I chose red. I was sure that the red would look gorgeous againts the beige stones of the Fisherman’s Bastion! I think I was not wrong.☺️
The sun started to quickly rise around 6.30 am (mind it this is end of March), filling the place with golden sunbeams.
The alibi of the birthday photoshoot was quickly unveiled, as she was smitten with the sight of the red heart shape balloons and the flowers. Holding back tears, the long-awaited “yes” was said — while a group of passing by tourists were happily clapping and cheering, along with us.
It was a really magical and lovely morning. Here are the wonderful pictures.
